DE/FORESTATION

A visual exploration of trees. This book is an accordion fold, opening vertically at 12 feet with a woodcut image on the back, suggesting a growing tree. The tree lies in a wooden box, resembling a wood plank. At the end of the show, the book was placed in its wooden coffin and buried under a tree. The 12-foot paper tree rests underground at Philadelphia's Schuylkill River Park. Photos from the single day solo show. It was included in The Urban Forest Project, an AIGA Philadelphia exhibition.
